Upon hearing the news of the impending suspensions of both Pat and Kevin Willaims, my immediate thoughts were - "great, now maybe the Lions can make Sunday's game competetive" and "at least it happened now, that would suck if they were out for some of the playoffs (if they make it)". Both of these thoughts, however, were stuck to dust by one Gary Larson - an idotic judge from the wonderful state which also produced Al Franken...
This post is not about how much I, a die hard Lions fan, want the Lions to win; or how I am sad that now these guys might be back in the mix - Quite the contrary! I would actually like for the Lions to go winless at this point. They deserve it for their years of idiocracy and blind faith. Maybe going 0-16 could finally be a shot in the arm for them (Doubtful...). I am, however, upset at the stupidity of a judge who is abusing his power and, in turn, could implode the season for the Vikings.
It's still up in the air whether the Williams sisters will play in this Sunday's game, but I have to ask the question - why would this judge decide it is a good idea to attempt to postpone these suspensions with the risk of them carrying into the playoffs, should they be upheld. In all reality, the Lions will probably lose either way but it makes me question the intelligence of Minnesota's elected officials. Lets weigh our options. 1) Take the suspensions, still beat the worst team in the league and keep our 2 best players on defense available should we make the playoffs. OR 2) Block the suspensions, knowing fully that they will likely be upheld, therefore risking the potential for the sisters to play in the only meaningful game of the year, should it come about. It makes about as much sense as Paris Hilton's My New BFF.
I agree, the suspensions are dumb. Who knows what these players were really taking. They should, however, know better than to take a substance of which they don't know the ingredients. With that being said, you don't see judges from Louisiana or Texas bailing out their players and trying to push their weight around. Take a hint, Minnesota - let it go. Play out the year, pray that AllDay can get you into the playoffs, and let the Williams sisters work their magic in the playoffs like only Venus and Ser - I mean Pat and Kevin can.

first off.... paris hilton my new bff, is an awesome show! it's great to know that all someone has to do is have a very boring sex tape and all of a sudden, mtv is taping you making friends. totally jealous. anyways, minnesota is just mad because the best thing to come out of there is the movie fargo. i hope the lions beat them, with or without the sisters.
and paps, out here in SD, i wear my lions jersey a lot and people give me crap about how bad they are. the funny thing is that these people are wearing charger jersey's. i just inform them that the lions and chargers are leaving for vacation on the same day.
