Since it is a pretty dull time for sports right now I think it might be fun to play a little fantasy football-esqe game. Based on the following salaries for the 2008 year

I think it would be fun to play the old "salary cap game" where you pretend all NFL players are available and make the best team possible. The rules are as follows: Your team must have 53 players. It should follow somewhat the format of a normal roster, although there is some leeway on that. You must have a starter at all positions however. The positions will depend on what scheme you decide to run (3-4, 4-3, 3 wide receiver set, Power I, etc.). And you must have at least one backup at each position. But remember that you are going for best overall team, not just best starters.

Rookies are allowed. For the rookies who have not signed we will assume the following:

$2 million for first-rounders, $1 million for second-rounders, $500,000 for third-rounders, $400K for fourth-rounders, $350K for fifth-rounders and $300K for sixth- and seventh-rounders and undrafted free agents. However, you are not required to have any rookies on your team if you don't want. But, their salaries are fairly low, so you might want to think about including some.

The cap is 116 Million dollars.

In addition, you must suggest a coach, a defensive coordinator, and an offensive coordinator to help explain your scheme and team plan.

The three of us are putting together teams as we speak. Feel free to do your own teams. We will post ours soon and we need you guys to vote for the best team. I am looking forward to it.
